Mac and Win Marketing - two ends of the spectrum

As most of you know, we have released our first legitimate venture into the world of Windows with our upcoming beta of WinJournal 1.0. We have been doing the "Mac thing" for 16 years so we have a pretty good idea of the people to contact, the places to promote, ect, ect.
Funny thing is, promoting a product in the Windows market is light years different than promoting a product in the Mac market.
Obviously, the size of the market is significantly bigger. The level of competition is multiplied several times. But the most subtle and annoying difference is that there seems to be less cohesion in the Windows market than there is with the Mac market. If we are releasing an update to any of our Mac products we can normally send a press release out to several key sites and the majority of the smaller sites will pick up on it too. As far as we can tell, that doesn't appear to be the case in Bill's world.
